UAE lose to Jersey in World T20 qualifier

The UAE have lost their top spot in Group B of the Twenty20 World Cup Qualifiers.

They have slipped to fourth in the pool after suffering a 35-run defeat to Jersey on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 147 in Abu Dhabi, the hosts were dismissed for 112 in 19.2 overs.

In the other games played on Tuesday, Namibia recorded their first win, beating Scotland by 24 runs, while the Netherlands registered a five-wicket victory against Singapore.

There are five games scheduled for Wednesday:

Bermuda vs Namibia (10:00 am in Dubai)

Nigeria vs Oman (10:00 am in Abu Dhabi)

Kenya vs Singapore (2:10 pm in Dubai)

Canada vs Ireland (2:10 pm in Abu Dhabi)

Hong Kong vs Jersey (7:30 pm in Abu Dhabi)
