George Boateng blasts Dutch FA for Netherlands' Euro 2016 woes

NULL

Former Netherlands international George Boateng says the country’s Football Federation - the KNVB - is to blame for their Euro 2016 woes The Netherlands are on the brink of missing out on next summer’s Finals just 15 months after finishing third at the World Cup. They need to beat Czech Republic on Tuesday night and hope third-placed Turkey lose at home to already-qualified Iceland to secure a play-off place from Group A. Speaking exclusively to ARN, four-time capped Boateng believes his country's problems began with the appointment of former boss Guus Hiddink. Hiddink succeeded Louis van Gaal after last summer's World Cup Finals but stepped down in June after winning just four of his 10 games in charge. His assistant Danny Blind has since taken over the reins.
