Christchurch Test: New Zealand dismiss Pakistan for 297 on day 1

New Zealand dismissed Pakistan for 297 at the close of play on the opening day of the second and final Test at Christchurch on Sunday.

Paceman Kyle Jamieson took five for 69 as the hosts won the toss and elected to field.

Azhar Ali top-scored for Pakistan with 93, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed 61 and Faheem Ashraf hit 48.

The Black Caps are already 1-0 up in the series and need only a draw to rise to the top of the world rankings for the first time.
