Three people have been airlifted to hospital following three separate motorcycle incidents in Sharjah, in the space of 24 hours, the UAE’s Ministry of Interior confirmed.
Posting on X, the UAE Ministry Of Interior confirmed that "Air Ambulance teams of the Air Wing Department, under the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior, successfully contributed to the rescue of three individuals within 24 hours.
"The incidents involved two Emirati citizens and a European woman who sustained severe injuries in separate traffic accidents, requiring urgent air evacuation. In the first operation, a 31-year-old European woman was injured in a nighttime motorcycle accident in the Al Badayer desert area of Sharjah."

The statement continued, "She was airlifted to Al Dhaid Hospital for urgent medical treatment. In the second case, a 28-year-old Emirati man was involved in a motorcycle accident in the Al Rafadah area of Sharjah. Upon receiving a report from Sharjah Police, the Air Wing transported him to Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah for medical care.
"The third incident involved a 21-year-old Emirati citizen whose motorcycle overturned at night. Following an emergency report from the General Command of Sharjah Police, the Air Wing transported him to Al Dhaid Hospital for necessary treatment."
The lives of four patients were saved in a specialised organ transfer mission carried out by teams from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, with medical support from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
