Businesses impacted by a fire at the Sharia Market in Sharjah's Al Dhaid city will be provided alternative premises.
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the Initiatives Implementation Authority (Mubadara) to ensure these facilities are fully operational within three days, equipped with furnishings, essential equipment and air-conditioning.
He also ordered the immediate construction of a new market featuring more than 60 permanent concrete stores to replace the previous market, which housed only 16 stores made of palm leaves.
Additionally, affected store owners are to be relocated to the new market and compensated for their losses with substantial financial support.
This announcement was made during the "Direct Line" programme on Sharjah Radio.
