As many as 995 private establishments have been caught violating Emiratisation rules since mid-2022.

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, a total of 1,660 fake cases of Emiratisation were detected during this period.

Legal measures have been taken against the firms involved, including imposing fines ranging between AED 20,000 and AED 100,000 and referring them to public prosecution, depending on the severity of the violation.

The violating companies are also downgraded to the lowest category in the ministry's private sector classification system.

Meanwhile, employees involved in fake Emiratisation schemes will no longer receive financial benefits under the Nafis programme for hiring UAE nationals, and the ministry will recover any benefits that they accrued in the past.

More than 19,000 firms have been found complying with Emiratisation policies, with the total number of Emirati employees in the private sector reaching around 92,000.
