His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with world leaders on the second day of the World Governments Summit.
Sheikh Mohammed held talks with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Zhaparov and Maldives's president Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The meetings highlighted the importance of the close relationships between the UAE and the two nations. Zhaparov praised the long-standing friendship between the UAE and their mutual dedication to enhancing these ties further, and also applauded the UAE’s remarkable progress and development.
The meeting also addressed ways of further advance cooperation between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan as well as several topics being discussed at the current World Governments Summit. They highlighted the summit’s vital role in shaping future governments, enhancing agility, efficiency and proactivity in the face of developmental and economic changes and optimising investments for a better future.
Dr. Mohamed Muizzu highlighted the importance of the Maldives' participation in the World Governments Summit and its role in fostering closer ties between the UAE and the Maldives across various economic and political spheres.
Sheikh Mohammed also attended an address by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the World Governments Summit.
The three-day event is bringing together heads of state and more than 85 international and regional organisations and global institutions.
