Deals worth AED9.77 bn signed over two days at IDEX, NAVDEX

Tawazun Council, the UAE's defence and security acquisitions authority, has announced the signing of five deals worth AED5.8 billion on the second day of IDEX and NAVDEX exhibitions in Abu Dhabi.

This brings the total value of contracts signed in the first two days to AED9.77 billion across 18 deals.

The local deals finalised on Tuesday include a AED3.76 billion contract with Calidus Aerospace for the HEDA Missile System, a AED492 million agreement with International Golden Group for ammunition, and a AED1.38 billion deal with DTEC Industries for 50-metre marine traffic boats.

Internationally, Tawazun signed two contracts totalling AED213 million, including agreements with French company MBDA for naval equipment support, valued at AED32 million, and with Italy's Augusta Westland Aviation Services for technical and logistical support, along with aircraft spare parts, worth AED181 million.

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 serve as pivotal platforms for showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in the defence sector.
