As many as 81 cars and 40 motorcycles were confiscated by the Dubai Police in a recent crackdown on reckless young drivers in Al Khawaneej and Last Exit areas.

The police launched a major campaign following numerous complaints from residents and visitors.

A total of 121 vehicles were seized, and 496 fines were issued against the drivers who were caught performing stunts, causing public disturbances and endangering the lives of others.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, urged parents to closely monitor their children and play a more proactive role in addressing irresponsible driving behaviours by young individuals.

He emphasised Dubai Police's zero-tolerance policy towards reckless driving and added that the fine for releasing impounded vehicles is AED 50,000.
