7 killed, 10 wounded in Bangladesh road crash

At least seven people have been killed after a bus veered off the road and slammed into a tree in eastern Bangladesh on Thursday.

Ten more people are being treated for their injuries, officials added.

According to reports, more than 60 people from Dhaka's Mirpur neighbourhood had rented two buses to travel to the south-eastern beach town of Cox's Bazar to celebrate Eid Al Adha holiday.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.
