British singer James Blunt says he will legally change his name to something suggested by a fan, if his debut album 'Back to Bedlam', which was released 20 years ago, reaches number one in the charts.

Blunt said in a message on social media platform X, that he would let "the people decide" on the name if his re-released album hits the top spot.

The star asked fans to submit their ideas using the hashtag #jameswho. Within hours the post had over 2,000 comments with fans suggesting names such as Blunty McBluntface and Blames Junt.

Back to Bedlam is the 17th best-selling UK album in history and includes the hit songs You're Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover. It reached number one in the UK and US when it was originally released.

Blunt has released seven further albums.
