The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) is set to produce 85 per cent of Abu Dhabi's clean electricity by 2025.

That's according to its Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, who also said the Barakah nuclear power plant has the potential to produce one million tonnes of hydrogen per year.

Al Hammadi was speaking at the 12th UAE Energy Forum 2022.

The Barakah plant in Abu Dhabi is the first nuclear power facility in the Arab world and is part of the UAE's efforts to diversify its energy mix.
