UN condemns Kandahar attack that killed five UAE officials

The United Nations has condemned the attack in Kandahar that killed five Emirati officials.

The UAE Ambassador in Afghanistan was also injured as terrorists targeted the house of the province’s governor.

Ambassador Juma Al Kaabi was in Kandahar to lay the foundation for a UAE-sponsored orphanage, and sign a scholarship agreement with a university.

Countries including the US, France and Kuwait have also denounced the attack, and expressed support for the Afghan government’s fight against terrorism.

They also extended their condolences to the families of the victims.
