Glow in the dark park opens in Dubai on Wednesday

A 30 million dirham glow in the dark park will open on Wednesday in Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, inaugurated the Zabeel Park project, which features colourful illuminated trees, plants, ants and animals that light up as the sun goes down.

A first of its kind, ‘Dubai Garden Glow’ uses cutting-edge technology to take the visitor around the world, from the wildebeest migration of Masai Mara, to the tulips of Netherlands.

Designers hope children will enjoy the unique talking tree and dino camp, while live musical performances and the food market will complete the experience.

The garden is spread across 40 acres, with 32 installations made by 150 artists in ‎200,000 man hours.
