Dubai set to host major animal welfare summit
Animal welfare and environmental experts from around the world are set to descend on Dubai on Sunday, November 11, for a summit on the proper treatment of animals.
Taking place over two days, the Second National Conference for Animal Welfare will discuss the challenges faced in handling and preserving wildlife.
Representatives from the World Health Organisation will be in attendance along with other international institutions and local groups such as the Emirates Dog Owners Society.
The summit aims to generate ideas on improving the care for wildlife and stray animals as well as raising awareness of the issues around animal welfare.
