Funeral processions in Sharjah will now be escorted by police patrols in order to tackle traffic jams. The move is aimed at easing congestion around cemeteries and ensuring proper access for the vehicles of mourners. Sharjah Police are implementing the initiative in partnership with other government departments and community councils in the emirate.
